Women in Sound Roundtable: The Torchbearer
For our inaugural meeting special guest singer, songwriter, and activist Martha Redbone joins us for a discussion on the roles women play as the carriers of family history and the responsibility to affirm and create community. Growing up with family from the matriarchal Choctaw and Cherokee tribes, Redbone will share her experience lending her voice to preserve and educate audiences on her people’s history, existence, and threats to survival.
