The Technology Department fosters an environment for thoughtful collaborations between artists and creative technologists. Our Tech Lab provides tools and engineering support for creatives to develop projects in emerging technologies spanning robotics, AI, mixed reality, and additive manufacturing. Technology at Pioneer Works connects to the larger community through a variety of public programs that include social impact hackathons, conferences, classes, and workshops.

Technology programs at Pioneer Works are supported in part by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and public funds from the National Endowment for the Arts, and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
