Gershon Dublon
Technology Residency
Researcher, electrical engineer, and artist Gershon Dublon creates aesthetic experiences for the perceptual periphery: situations, spaces, and technological systems designed to foster new sensitivities. Dublon’s writing appears in journals including IEEE Sensors, Scientific American, and Presence. Their work has been covered by the New York Times, AP, Wired, BBC, and NHK, and has been exhibited in MFA Boston, Ars Electronica, and RIDM Montreal. Gershon has an S.M. and Ph.D. from the MIT Media Lab, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Yale.
Together with artist Xin Liu, Gershon runs slow immediate LLC, a creative engineering studio. Gershon is also a director of Living Observatory, a non-profit focused on wetland restoration, as well as a post-doctoral research affiliate in the MIT Media Lab’s Responsive Environments Group.
