Grisha Coleman
Technology Residency
Grisha Coleman is a choreographer and composer in performance and experiential media who explores relationships among physiological, technological, and ecological systems. Currently the Associate Professor of Movement, Computation and Digital Media at Arizona State University, her recent art and scholarly work, echo::system, acts as a springboard for reimagining the environment, environmental change and environmental justice. Coleman is a graduate of the Composition and Integrated Media MFA program at the California Institute of the Arts. She is the recipient of grant from The Rockefeller Foundation MAP Fund, The Surdna Foundation, The Creative Capital Foundation, and The National Endowment for the Arts. Additionally, she has been distinguished as a past fellow at the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University, and Mohr Visiting Artist at Stanford University.
