PAT Album Release at Ace Hotel
Pioneer Works and Ace Hotel New York are pleased to announce a celebration of Love Will Find A Way Home—a new double LP album by PAT, a duo formed by artist Jacolby Satterwhite and musician Nick Weiss. The album release party, to feature a special DJ set by PAT, will convene in Ace Hotel’s Liberty Hall on Monday, October 21st, from 8pm to 12am.
A special installation comprised of a listening station, set against a backdrop extracted from Satterwhite’s fantastical animated works, will be installed in Ace Hotel New York’s lobby from mid-October through November. The installation and album release party will coincide with Satterwhite’s exhibition You’re at home, on view at Pioneer Works from October 4 through November 24, 2019.
About Love Will Find A Way Home:
PAT takes its name from Satterwhite’s mother Patricia, who suffered from schizophrenia and passed away in 2016. She left behind hundreds of a capella recordings of original songs, which the duo remixed and manipulated into propulsive, electronic dance tracks that feature a range of other collaborators. Inspired by projects like Tricky’s album Maxinequay and Daft Punk’s feature-length animated film Interstella 5555, Love Will Find A Way Home is both a fully-produced album of its own and a score for a related, four-part series of films animated by Satterwhite. Released by Pioneer Works Press, it will feature a cover shot by Wolfgang Tillmans, and a booklet containing lyrics and drawings by Patricia Satterwhite. The album is now available for pre-order here.
