She Remembers Everything: Rosanne Cash Presents an Evening of Literature and Song
Pioneer Works is proud to welcome Rosanne Cash back for an intimate evening of music and literature and to launch her new album She Remembers Everything—composed of soulful and strong songs that celebrate the eternal dance between love and loss, the art of finding solidity of spirit in a precarious world, how we rise when we fall short, and what it means to wrest beauty from the wreckage of the soul. Cash’s performance will be punctuated by readings of classic works by iconic literary voices—Angela Davis, Ursula K. Le Guin, Toni Morrison, and more. The literary interludes will be read by author A.M. Homes; poet, artist, and activist Staceyann Chin; astrophysicist, author, and Pioneer Works Director of Sciences Janna Levin; and writer Maria Popova. After the event, Rosanne will sign copies of the record and artist Portia Munson, who created the album cover, will sign posters of her piece ‘Tree Knife Elbow,’ which she deconstructed for the cover.
