Supper Club with Mina Stone
Supper Club is a regular dinner series created to celebrate local chefs and serve as a community gathering. Hosted in the building’s Main Hall or Garden, each edition of the Supper Club invites chefs to create an original dining experience. This month’s Supper Club features Brooklyn-based chef Mina Stone.
Mina Stone began her foray into the culinary world catering for friends as a side job as a way to support her fashion line. She enjoyed cooking as a creative outlet that gave her the freedom to make whatever she liked. This led to cooking for artists, such as Urs Fischer, at their studios, as well as gallery dinners for Gavin Brown and other prominent players in the art world. It was only when Fischer suggested that they do a cookbook together that Stone decided to make cooking her day job. Published in 2015, Cooking for Artists is her first cookbook, published under Fischer’s imprint Kiito-San.
